Village Gardens
Helping neighbors grow food, together.
- • Home garden installation and support
- • Free for all Greenhills households
- • No experience required

Village Gardens is a community initiative that helps residents of the Village of Greenhills start, grow, and maintain home gardens. We assist with installation, seasonal support, and surplus collection, making it easy for any household to grow fresh produce.
Extra harvests are added to our Village Produce program to benefit the entire community.
Garden Installation
We help residents establish simple, productive garden beds in their yards, including:
- Bed placement and layout
- Soil and compost prep
- Starter plants or seeds
- Basic tools and beginner guidance
No experience needed — we’ll help you grow food confidently.
Seasonal Support
Our volunteers can help with watering plans, weeding, pest issues, plant health, harvest timing, and troubleshooting any problems that come up during the season.
Sharing Extra Harvest
If your garden grows more than you need, we’ll gladly pick it up. Surplus produce is added to Village Produce monthly deliveries, helping feed more households in the village.
Spring Plant Sale
Each spring, Village Gardens hosts an annual Plant Sale featuring vegetable starts, herbs, flowers, pollinator-friendly plants, and gardening supplies. All proceeds support garden installations, seeds, and soil for neighbors.
Who Can Participate?
Any household in the Village of Greenhills may request a new garden installation, help with an existing garden, seasonal check-ins, surplus produce pickup, or priority access to the spring plant sale.
All services are free, volunteer-supported, and open to every resident.
